ISI Founder and Technical Director Andrew Kernohan has played and coached competitive soccer for decades as a varsity athlete and in the Ontario Youth Soccer League. He was also blessed to be selected to play with the Ontario Provincial team.
Andrew is CSA C Licensed and has worked with Coerver Coaching to achieve Youth Diploma’s 1 and 2.

Andrew is CSA C Licensed and has worked with Coerver Coaching to achieve Youth Diploma’s 1 and 2. He is also qualified through Club Calor High Performance Coaching Certificate in Mexico. Andrew is the only coach in Canada that holds these qualifications.

We aim to unlock your soccer development with Ignite Soccer Institute. Immerse yourself in a positive, faith-based, soccer environment and light up your ball mastery skills with the Kawartha’s only high performance soccer technical skills program.
ISI was founded in service to the rapidly growing soccer community in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. With a soccer tradition stretching back almost 150 years and the 2021 addition of Electric City Football Club, Peterborough’s professional soccer team, the sport is vibrant in the region.

Soccer school
Every Autumn, Winter, and Spring, ISI offers 10-week age-specific programs for developing and competitive players. These programs are delivered via weekly sessions that focus on individual skills, multiplayer tactics, and game intelligence.
To register, please select the session and age-group, and submit the online form. You will receive a confirmation email from our team with next steps.
technical camps
Our technical training camps are delivered through the summer and holiday seasons, both at indoor and outdoor facilities. Technical camps can also be provided to teams and clubs for specific areas of development interest, such as striking form, defensive tactics, game sets, etc. Contact us at info@ignitesoccer.net for details about our tailored Technical Training Camps.

ISI understands that Head Coaches and Program Directors may have varying concepts for how teams should develop based on team profile and club direction. Our experienced team works with football clubs to determine where and how training supports should be delivered, whether that is as the training lead, or for supplemental specialized instruction.

1-to-1 player development
Through discussion with parents and players, our certified coaches will design a skills-based, age-appropriate, player-centric development plan for home-based and facility-based training.
